TikTok stopped being a teenagers-only platform long ago. It has audiences with real purchasing power, and short-video ads there often cost less than on Meta. But it doesn't suit everyone — let's see who should test it and how.
Who TikTok Ads suits
- Products and services with a visible result: beauty, fitness, food, home, gadgets.
- Mobile apps and online services.
- Education and courses, especially for audiences under 35.
- Brands ready to make new videos regularly.
It's harder for complex B2B products with long sales cycles and niches where a small group of specialists decides — Google Ads and LinkedIn usually fit them better.
Creatives that work
- Native look. The video should feel like regular content, not a TV ad.
- The first 2 seconds. Show the problem, the result or an unexpected shot immediately.
- A person on screen. Reviews, unboxings, before/after, expert tips.
- Sound and captions. Trending sounds help; captions are a must.
Preparing to launch
- A business account in TikTok Ads Manager and advertiser verification.
- TikTok Pixel and Events API — sending leads and purchases from the site.
- A landing page that loads fast on mobile: most traffic is mobile.
- 5–10 test videos: different hypotheses and opening shots.
The first campaign
Choose a conversion objective and a broad audience in your target country, and give the algorithm a few days to learn. As on Meta, the main work is creative testing: winners scale, weak ones get switched off fast. TikTok moderation is strict, especially for finance, health and similar niches — check the platform policies before producing videos.
How to know the channel works
Look at cost per lead and sales in the CRM, not views. How to measure payback: CPL, CPA, ROMI. If after 2–3 weeks of testing the cost per customer is above your limit, your audience may simply not be on TikTok.
We launch and run TikTok Ads from $350 a month: scripts, creatives, pixel, tests and reports. All ad channels are on the Traffic & Analytics page.
